The Missouri Gateway Award was established to provide a yearly list of quality literature selections for young adults spanning different genres and interests. Librarians, teachers, and students read hundreds of books and narrow down the list to the top 15 books each year. Students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to read at least TWO of these nominees by March. The voting period takes place in early March, and the winning title is announced in April. Students who have read two or more nominees will be invited to a special lunch with prizes and will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite book. High school is a busy time and it can be easy to lose track of time! Goal setting is an important part of this process. Make a plan about which books you want to read and when you will read them by clicking on the button below. Share this slide with Mrs. Jamieson at jjamieson@fz.k12.mo.us so she can help you meet your goals.
