The Missouri Gateway Award was established to provide a yearly list of quality literature selections for young adults spanning different genres and interests. Librarians, teachers, and students read hundreds of books and narrow down the list to the top 15 books each year. Students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to read at least TWO of these nominees by March. The voting period takes place in early March, and the winning title is announced in April. Students who have read two or more nominees will be invited to a special lunch with prizes and will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite book.

Each time you read one of this year's Gateway Nominees, fill out the form below.

Want to be even more involved in this process? Students may serve as Gateway Reader Selectors to help choose Gateway nominees for the following school year.  As reader selectors, students commit to reading 25 books between August and early January. If you are interested in this endeavor, please see Mrs. Jamieson for more information.
